This spring, the sixth grade will be participating in our annual week of Environmental Education. The week consists of three days & two nights at W. Alton Jones Camp in Rhode Island, and two days of local field trips. Since our week of activities is curriculum-based, all students are expected to participate. The following information will help you to plan in advance.
There will be a meeting for all sixth grade parents on October 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the BMS auditorium. We will provide an overview of the week and answer questions, and the sixth grade teachers will provide additional information. We will also have a brief slideshow.
Environmental Education Week is from Monday, June 5 - Friday, June 9, 2017. Students in Homerooms 114, 211, 221 and half of 208 will attend camp Monday through Wednesday and participate in local field trips Thursday and Friday. Students in Homerooms 113, 119, 209, and half of 208 will participate in local field trips Monday and Tuesday and will attend camp Wednesday through Friday. On Wednesday, the entire sixth grade will participate in camp activities together at W. Alton Jones.
The total cost for the whole week is $360. The first payment of $180 is due by Tuesday, November 1st. The balance will be due on Monday, March 6th.
